Important: MERC-50G1-HE works with a high-voltage battery system of 160-800 V. Battery selection, BMS, protection devices, cables, grounding, solar strings and installation location must be designed by a qualified specialist according to the equipment passport data.
Important: derating is possible above 45 degrees. This must be considered during system design, ventilation planning, equipment placement and continuous load calculation.
Important: peak off-grid power of 1.5 times for 10 seconds is a short-term mode and must not be treated as continuous operating load.
MERC-50G1-HE is a three-phase high-voltage CHISAGE ESS MERC series hybrid inverter for commercial, industrial and large backup power systems. The model is rated at 50 kW and is suitable for enterprises, warehouses, office buildings, production facilities, farms, commercial sites and large solar power plants.
The inverter combines solar panels, high-voltage battery storage, the utility grid and a backup diesel generator into one energy system. This solution helps use solar energy, store it in batteries, support power during outages and reduce dependence on the external grid.
MERC-50G1-HE supports both grid-connected and off-grid operation. In On-grid mode, the inverter works together with the utility grid, solar panels and batteries, helping power loads, charge batteries and use solar generation more efficiently.
In Off-grid mode, the inverter can support site power without the utility grid by using energy from solar panels, batteries or a diesel generator. EPS output is provided for backup power and On-grid / Off-grid mode switching.
For autonomous operation, up to 20 inverters can be connected in parallel. This allows the system to be scaled for large three-phase loads and more powerful backup or off-grid energy systems.
The solar input section is designed for up to 70 000 W PV input power. Five MPPT trackers allow flexible solar string distribution and better use of generation on large sites. MPPT range 200-850 V, PV input voltage 800 V with 160-1000 V range and PV currents of 36+36+36+36+36 A must be considered when designing the solar array.
The inverter includes protections important for safe operation of a powerful solar energy system: PV input lightning protection, anti-islanding protection, PV string reverse polarity protection, insulation resistance detection, residual current monitoring, output over current protection, output short protection and output over voltage protection.
